Poppy – Creativity and Thoughtfulness – Poppy really impressed me with her thoughtful continuous line drawing she did during Art this week. It caught my eye from across the room and I loved watching how carefully and thoughtfully she was thinking about each mark she made. Well done, Poppy!

Florence – Positivity and Enthusiasm – Florence always brightens my day with her winning smile and enthusiastic energy towards all areas of our learning. She has a visible love of learning and always gets stuck into every challenge. Don’t ever lose that love and passion for learning, Florence!

Jemima – Reader of the Week – I have noticed how confident Jemima has become during our Phonics sessions, recognising and reading our new alternative graphemes. She is able to apply this new knowledge during our reading sessions and as a result is becoming more fluent. Keep it up, Jemima!

Maddison – Determination and confidence – Maddison has been much more focused in phonics and has had more success at sound talking and blending the word cards.  She is also applying this skill into her writing, and confidently used the grapheme chart to segment and spell some ambitious adjectives for her story setting. Well done Maddison!

Cody- Helpfulness – We are so proud of Cody, he has such lovely manners and is very kind and caring towards his friends. On many occasions, Cody has helped his friends and we are very grateful for his kindness. Thank you, Cody!

Reader of the week- Ella, Thank you to Ella for her super effort during our reading sessions. Ella’s confidence continues to grow and she is reading more words which include digraphs. Well done, Ella!

Logan is learner of the week for his enthusiasm in our Life Skills lesson this week. It was lovely to see Logan so engaged and participating in the discussions on where our money comes from. Well done Logan.

Ruben is learner of the week for his commitment to learning in maths this week. We have had a shape focus throughout this week and Ruben has been challenging himself to compare properties of 2D and 3D shapes. Well done Ruben.

This week Miss Williams has chosen Eva, Lillian and Cohen as pupils of the week due to their creativity.  The children were challenged to create a new castle for King Arthur, as part of our DT topic, and these children were not only able to draw a new idea but also brought this to life in their constructions too.  They implemented all the criteria and their outcomes were fantastic.

Leo has also been chosen for his perseverance during the castle-making activity.  Leo was determined to create a sturdy castle with towers that would stand firm and in spite of many frustrated attempts he succeeded in the end.

Cruz – for the effort he always puts into his learning.  This week when we played benchball, Cruz was an absolutely fantastic member of his team – he ensured he was marking the other team as well as trying to get into a space to receive the ball.  A super week again Cruz.

Emily T – I challenged Emily to speed up in our weekly arithmetic test and what a result!  Emily scored 9 more marks than the previous week!  What an amazing difference and she should be extremely proud of this!  Keep it up Emily.

Callum P – Callum could be pupil of the week every week – he always makes the right choices and puts 100% effort into his learning.  He is good at managing distractions and shows responsibility for his learning.  Another super week Callum.
