FAQs

What should my child wear to Nursery?

We recommend clothing that encourages independence and fosters a sense of achievement, such as Velcro shoes, loose-fitting clothing, joggers, or leggings. We never want to interrupt a child’s learning and activities may involve mud, water, or paint, so please dress your child in play-friendly clothes suitable for nursery. Waterproofs and wellies are essential, as we engage in outdoor learning every day, regardless of the weather, ensuring children can fully participate while staying comfortable and dry.

What should my child bring to Nursery?

Children should bring plenty of spare clothes, indoor shoes & wellies for outdoors (clearly named, please) so that they are able to access all activities in a clean environment.

Children in nappies should always bring a plentiful supply of nappies, wet wipes, etc. to every session.

Children who are toilet-training should always have a plentiful supply of underwear / clothing in case of any ‘accidents’.

One comforter may be brought in (clearly named) to aid the ‘settling in’ process but please no toys.

My child is still in nappies. Can they start at Nursery?

Yes, we have changing facilities in both pre-school and nursery, and we will support you in toilet training your child.

Can my child stay for lunch at Nursery?

Yes, we have limited number of lunchtime spaces. Children who are staying for lunch can either bring a packed lunch from home or have a meal provided by the school. If your child brings a packed lunch please ensure it is a combination of healthy food. Please ensure their lunch box is clearly labelled with their name.

Will my child have snack at Pre-School?

Yes, we offer a range of healthy snacks in the morning and afternoon, as well as milk and water always being available for the children.
